At the iSchool we would absolutely love web service access to add codes for exactly the reason Matt Winslow gave. It is complicated in that authorization would have to restrict access based on program (or something) though. For example, I shouldn't be able to pull add codes from non Information School programs, and other folks shouldn't be able to pull our add codes.
It would help us greatly to have some way other than Keynes to pull add codes though. As-is, it's not exactly efficient at all.
